I certainly understand that the people of Greensburg are the kind of people with whom I grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio - tough, resilient and utterly unafraid to deal with their own tragedy. But if nothing else, help from others of their countrymen can be a buoy for the heart - letting them know they aren't alone.

I've made my contribution - how about you?

News from the Sacramento area. Seniors here at a local High School (Christian Brothers High) Have collected funds of about $1600.00 to donate to the Greensburg graduating class of 2007. They would like to help them have a graduation to remember. This should go to caps, gowns and other things. It is nice to see some young people out there still have some compassion and values.

Refreshing indeed. But then in many ways your area isn't like the rest of California - after all, Mr. and Mrs. Media matters live there with the delectable Parker!

That's a great story, it's good to see that there are high school kids who would organize and do something like that.
