SOMEHOW THE LEFT HAS
MANAGED TO CONTORT
ITSELF INTO SAYING
(and perhaps believing)

that David Letterman's wholly inappropriate, offensive and downright creepy remarks about 14-year old Willow Palin were the fault of her mother, Governor Sarah Palin. That's like saying that it was Dr. Tiller's fault that he was killed because he walked in front of a bullet! Or that Pvt. Long is responsible for his own death because he was an Army recruiter!

A 62-year old man making endless suggestive and snarky remarks about Governor Palin is offensive and disgusting - clearly the fact that she is a beautiful, conservative woman makes her fair game. But making those same kinds of remarks about Gov. Palin's 14-year old daughter is completely indefensible and cannot be, as the Left is now claiming, blamed on Willow Palin's mother and father in any way! The person responsible for the poor judgment displayed and the utterly indefensible and offensive comments made by David Letterman is David Letterman - a man who is only 1/4 as funny as he thinks he is and who ONLY keeps his job at CBS because he's a card carrying, Kool Aid drinking liberal!

You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself Mr. Letterman. And the so-called feminist women who greeted these inappropriate and completely creepy comments made by Mr. Letterman with thunderous silence should be horsewhipped! And yes, I meant horsewhipped. I'm not at all politically correct, have never claimed to be, don't want to be. I'm an old broad who is blunt and outspoken and like myself that way.

UPDATE: CBS has lost a major sponsor and now and only now, do we hear a complete and apparently sincere apology from Herr Letterman!

UPDATE:

Following a week of back and forth between CBS late night comic David Letterman and Sarah Palin over a crude joke he told about the Alaska Republican governor’s daughter, the Olive Garden restaurant says it is cancelling all of its scheduled ads on Letterman’s “Late Show” for the rest of the year.

In an email to a Letterman critic obtained by POLITICO, a spokeswoman for the Italian restaurant chain wrote that “there will be no more Olive Garden ads scheduled for ‘The Late Show’ with David Letterman in this year's broadcast schedule,” citing the talk show host’s “inappropriate comments.”

“We apologize that Mr. Letterman’s mistake, which was not consistent with our standards and values, left you with a bad impression of Olive Garden,” wrote Sherri Bruen, the company’s guest relations manager.

Along with his Kool Aid here's wishing ol' Dave a steaming cup of Karma -

Countless rebirths lie ahead, both good and bad. The effects of karma (actions) are inevitable, and in previous lifetimes we have accumulated negative karma which will inevitably have its fruition in this or future lives. Just as someone witnessed by police in a criminal act will eventually be caught and punished, so we too must face the consequences of faulty actions we have committed in the past, there is no way to be at ease; those actions are irreversible; we must eventually undergo their effects.

To me it makes no difference as to which of the Palin daughters he was referring to...it was a very inappropriate attempt at humor that was not at all funny. If he wanted to make a crack about A-Rod knocking up Madonna, then that might be funny, but not with young women, no matter their age, just because their mother happens to be a public figure. The idiotic remarks by "women" on shows such as The View (only heard the clip ~ don't watch that poor excuse for a TV show!) that the girls were fair game because their mother took them on the campaign trail is unbelievable. By that standard, the Obama girls are fair game, as was Chelsea Clinton, and we all know how well the anchor on one of the alphabets fared (I think he was fired or at least suspended for a bit) when he hinted that Bill & Hill might be "pimping out their daughter" during the last election cycle.
